Cocking explains the strategic approach of adding width, angles and stronger green complexes after a course that played too tight for members while still yielding low pro scoring, and walks through rerouting the final six holes to cut the repetitive par 3s over water, add a compelling short par 4 and use Lake Kadijah more diagonally. They get into the altered Presidents Cup routing, a bold out of bounds fence inspired by UK golf and old Medinah photos, and why firmness matters most in the setup.
