Dan Meis Exclusive: Everton’s Historic First Year at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Welcome back to the Royal Blue Podcast! 🔵

In this special live episode, host Chris Beesley sits down in the studio with world-renowned American architect Dan Meis, the visionary behind Everton Football Club’s state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Chris and Dan look back on a landmark inaugural season on the Liverpool waterfront. Following the emotional farewell to Goodison Park, the Toffees transitioned into their new home—playing in front of the highest average attendances in the club’s long and storied history. Dan shares his personal thoughts on seeing his iconic brick, steel, and glass design come to life on the Mersey, how the stadium atmosphere has evolved, and why the project became one of the most meaningful of his career.

The pair also discuss the broader football landscape under The Friedkin Group, delving into the latest updates regarding Italian giants AS Roma and their ongoing stadium development plans in Italy, where Dan’s expertise once again meets the multi-club vision of Everton’s ownership.
