A bit of a one-off episode this. 

We asked (Dr) Paddy Hoey onto the pod to talk about a book about football, This Is Our Game. It's a collection of writing from fans in the great football cities around the world, and Paddy wrote the chapter on Glasgow.

Paddy is great value, and for those who have an interest in football around the world, it sounds like a great read.

We then make the error of asking Paddy for his thoughts on last season and the summer so far. Needless to say, the mood of the recording takes a turn for the worse.

We will be recording another season preview episode later in the week so hopefully there will be some movement to give us cause for optimism for the season ahead.
