POSTCAST: Jonah Tong's CAREER High In Strikeouts Lead Mets In 7-1 Win

Behind a career day from Jonah Tong, the New York Mets clubbed three home runs and won the second game of this series, 7-1.

Tong set a career high with 9 strikeouts over his five innings of work in what was his final start of the 2026 season. The good pitching didn't stop there. The Mets bullpen combined for 4 scoreless innings to finish things off.

As for the bats, it was a great day for Ronny Mauricio who slugged two home runs in this one. Carson Benge had a three hit day and AJ Ewing might have had the biggest hit of them all, a three run homer in the 7th that gave the Mets the lead for good.
