The United States men’s national team continues its new World Cup cycle with a 4-2 win over Chile, highlighted by Mathis Albert becoming the youngest goal scorer in USMNT history. Julian Hall scores again, Chris Richards finds the winner and Tim Ream closes his 86-cap international career. Spain also extends its unbeaten run to 40 matches in Nations League play.

Opening night in the NHL brings overtime drama as Florida spoils Carolina’s Stanley Cup banner celebration, while Montreal, Boston, Vancouver and Vegas also win.
