NFC North Week 2 Recap: Caleb Avoids MAJOR Injury and The Vikings Are Kings

The Vikings are 2-0 and sitting alone atop the NFC North. Caleb Williams suffered an injury but avoided the worst-case scenario. The Packers survived in overtime. And the Lions just got exposed in a major way.

The NFC North Roundtable is breaking down EVERYTHING from NFL Week 2 as the division race takes another unexpected turn!

🟣 VIKINGS ARE 2-0! ARE THEY THE TEAM TO BEAT?

Minnesota walked into Soldier Field and defeated the Chicago Bears 9-3 in a brutal defensive battle. With Carson Wentz starting in place of Kyler Murray, the Vikings relied on Brian Flores' defense, which held Chicago's explosive offense to just three points and forced multiple turnovers. Minnesota is now the only undefeated team in the NFC North.

🔥 CALEB WILLIAMS INJURY: BEARS FANS CAN BREATHE... FOR NOW!

Caleb Williams left Chicago's loss with a hamstring injury after going down on a fourth-quarter scramble. The Bears later received a somewhat encouraging MRI report, with head coach Ben Johnson describing Williams as week to week. The big question now: Will Caleb be healthy enough to face the Eagles in Week 3?

🧀 PACKERS SURVIVE THE JETS!

Green Bay escaped New York with a 20-17 overtime victory, keeping the Packers in the NFC North race at 1-1. But despite the win, there are still plenty of questions surrounding Green Bay as the season moves forward.

🦁 LIONS GET EXPOSED AGAINST BUFFALO!

Detroit suffered a 41-31 loss to the Bills, and the defense continues to raise major concerns. Can Dan Campbell and the Lions fix their secondary before these defensive problems derail what many expected to be another playoff contender?

🚨 THE NFC NORTH IS WIDE OPEN!

On this episode, we're asking:

• Are the Minnesota Vikings the real team to beat? • How long will Caleb Williams be out? • Can Tyson Bagent keep the Bears competitive if Caleb misses time? • Is Brian Flores' Vikings defense elite? • Can the Packers fix their offensive inconsistencies? • What's wrong with the Detroit Lions defense? • Are the Bears, Packers and Lions already chasing Minnesota? • Who has the biggest questions heading into Week 3? • Which NFC North team is actually built to make a playoff run?

Vikings. Bears. Packers. Lions. Caleb Williams. Justin Jefferson. Carson Wentz. Jordan Love. Jared Goff.

The NFC North was supposed to be one of the NFL's most competitive divisions. After two weeks, Minnesota is sitting on top — and the rest of the division is trying to figure out how to catch them.
