LOL: College Football Playoff Rankings are a JOKE with Tennessee No. 13 and Alabama No. 5

College Football Playoff rankings chaos sparks outrage as Tennessee Volunteers land at No. 13, despite demolishing Alabama Crimson Tide on the field. Can the Vols overcome the perennial “brand bias” of teams like Alabama and Notre Dame, or will playoff committee politics overshadow actual results?

Eric Cain breaks down Tennessee’s position in the first college football playoff rankings, dissecting why Alabama surged to No. 5 despite a head-to-head loss and questioning the committee’s logic with teams like Notre Dame at No. 11. Key topics include SEC power dynamics, the implications of Tennessee’s November schedule, and the real meaning behind the made-for-TV drama. Plus, a look at Tennessee basketball’s dominant 90-59 win over Wofford, with standout performances from DeWayne Brown II and Terrence Hill fueling optimism for the season ahead.

Is resume ever more important than reputation in college football? The debate heats up on Locked On Vols.
