Why Morez Johnson Jr. Gives the Dallas Mavericks Something RARE in the NBA

Which new Dallas Mavericks player needs to hit the most for the Mavs' long-term future next to Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving? Morez Johnson Jr., Sergio De Larrea and Zaccharie Risacher are the young core the Mavs are betting on, and how they develop could shape Dallas' next NBA contender.

Nick Angstadt (@NickVanExit) & Isaac Harris (@IsaacLHarris) explain why Morez Johnson Jr. is the rare, switchable modern big the Mavs need most, and why he and Cooper Flagg should share the floor a lot this season. They also break down Sergio De Larrea as a 6'6 point guard of the future next to Kyrie Irving, along with Risacher's upside and where Santi Aldama, Marcus Sasser and Tarik Biberovic fit. They also cover PJ Washington, Naji Marshall, Daniel Gafford, Dusty May's switching defense, how Mavs Team President Masai Ujiri and GM Mike Schmitz approach positional size, and comparisons to Bam Adebayo, Al Horford and Mikal Bridges.
