2026 Rookie Class Early Review with Jason Bukala

Pro Hockey Group and Sportsnet hockey analyst Jason Bukala joins Nick Kypreos and Justin Bourne to discuss the Calgary Flames rebuild, the hurdles of learning how to defend in the NHL, if the Flames would consider going even younger and trade away Zach Whitecloud, how he sees Gavin McKenna adjusting to the speed of the NHL early in his career, Viggo Björck and Ivar Stenberg's early assessment, Philadelphia Flyers' slow start and the early calls to fire Rick Tocchet, and Evan Bouchard's hot start. Then, Nick, Justin and Sam McKee chat about Connor Bedard's potential return from injury and making his 2026-27 NHL season debut, Montreal Canadiens fans chanting Dylan Larkin's name, Igor Shesterkin's injury and how the New York Rangers will bolster their goaltending position, and expand their conversation on Tocchet's future.
