Bavarian Podcast Works — Postgame Show: Bayern Munich 2-2 Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga)

This was such a downer. Bayern Munich came into this game fresh off a Ballon d'Or and an incredible win over Magdeburg, only to get stifled by Niko Kovac and then draw at their own home. Compounding the misery is the fact that Ismael Saibari, Serge Gnabry, and Michael Olise all went down with injury. Things are reaching a tipping point.

In this episode, we discuss the following:

• Why the timing of Der Klassiker after Harry Kane's Ballon d'Or is a great advert for the Bundesliga.
• How Aaron Danks chooses lineups.
• A quick recap of the game.
• The problem with organization, or why FC Bayern needs Vincent Kompany back ASAP.
• How Niko Kovac unraveled Bayern through cynicism and physicality.
• Maybe it's time to give up on the Bundesliga and focus on the Champions League.
• Player ratings for the entire starting XI.
