POSTCAST: NEW Look Mets Take Opener In Cleveland, Luis Torrens 4 RBI Night Leads Offense

In their first game since the trade deadline, a new look New York Mets team relied on the old-guard to get them a series opening win in Cleveland, 6-2. 

Most of the new faces are out in the Mets bullpen, so it was a familiar face starting in Sean Manaea and he just keeps on producing.

It was another six inning start for Manaea, who had to work around a bunch of trouble thanks to the 5 walks he allowed. But he and the Mets bullpen combined to strand 10 Guardians runners over the course of the ballgame. 

The bats were led by Luis Torrens, who got the Mets started with a three run homer as part of a 4 RBI night for the Mets catcher. Bo Bichette and Carson Benge each added solo homers of their own. 

We also got to see the MLB debut of Nate Lavender and Kodai Senga found himself in a new high leverage role. It all added up to the Mets taking the opener of this series.
