Welcome to the 2nd edition of Big Citrus & Chill, aka the Good Game with Sarah Spain Movie Club! In honor of the inaugural season of the Women’s Professional Baseball League, Alex, Bianca and Sarah watched (or re-watched) the 1992 hit “A League of Their Own.” They unpack how the film remembers and honors the real-life All-American Girls Baseball League, the gendered expectations for female athletes that continue to resonate today, and the minor characters they totally forgot stole the show. And of course, the trio dives into the long-standing debate about the dropped ball.
