James Wiseman And The Knicks Bench Get A Stress Test

New York Knicks bench faces brutal reality in 148-98 blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors. Can James Wiseman’s double-double and Deuce McBride’s resilience keep hope alive for New York’s young core? Gavin Schall breaks it down.

The conversation focused on Wiseman’s standout performance, his glaring weaknesses, and what the Knicks learned from this “stress test” against a red-hot Raptors squad led by Kawhi Leonard and Scottie Barnes. Several points were raised, including the development of Tyler Nickel, Kevin McCullar Jr.’s potential as an NBA defender, and Mo Diawara’s inconsistencies. The discussion explored Mike Brown’s preseason coaching tactics, the aggressive Toronto defense, and how New York’s depth might fare when tested against elite competition. Knicks fans, are you concerned or optimistic about the team’s trajectory after this lopsided loss?
