Saints made hard work of it at times, but the result was all that mattered. A 2-1 comeback win over Derby keeps the momentum building, moves Southampton up to fifth, and leaves the play-off picture looking a lot more promising than it did a few weeks ago.
In this week’s episode, Martin is joined by Steve Grant, Glen de la Cour and Alfie House to reflect on another huge three points at St Mary’s. The panel get into a frustrating first half, the response after the break, Leo Scienza’s moment of quality, and Taylor Harwood-Bellis popping up with yet another massive goal. There’s also praise for Casper Jander’s all-action display, a look at Finn Azaz’s influence despite an off day by his standards, and a wider conversation about what Saints can realistically target from here.
There’s also a look ahead to Tuesday night’s rearranged game with Blackburn. With Saints now on a six-game winning run, attention turns to whether they can create even more breathing room in the race for the top six, and whether a top-four finish is now firmly in sight.
If you’re heading to Wembley, there’s also a quick update on FA Cup semi-final tickets, plus news on the Yellows range in the TSP shop and the latest on Benali on Tour.
