#91: Trochek to Utah, Pettersson In as Drury Has a Very Good Week

Episode 91 of Blueshirt Bandwidth is the Marcus Naslund (or Sammy Blais?) Episode—Joe and Eric review a free agency day that turned into a full-blown second trade deadline. Vincent Trocheck is dealt to Utah for Sean Durzi, top prospect Cole Beaudoin, and a 2027 third. Marcus Pettersson arrives from Vancouver for a top-10-protected 2030 first, Oliver Bjorkstrand and Joe Veleno add speed and depth, and Will Borgan gets flipped for picks—but nobody can make sense of the Joonas Korpisalo trade or what it means for Dylan Garand. Joe goes on a full rant defending Drury's week, the two debate whether Bill Guerin or Steve Yzerman is the more overrated GM, and Mike Grier's bewildering additions of Jacob Trouba and Darnell Nurse in San Jose get torched. Plus: Charlie Vidal's Ombudsman Report, a mailbag on Drury's-guys-vs-Sullivan's-guys, the Alexander Nikishin/K'Andre Miller/Scott Morrow trade revisited, Bowen Byram's record-setting contract, and a season-ending hot-dog-is-a-sandwich debate that gets far more heated than it should. Give it a listen!
