CAMARA DEAL STILL ALIVE! Liverpool's Midfield Recruitment Latest

MEDIA MATTERS PART 2.

Dave Davis is joined by Liverpool journalist Lewis Steele for another edition of Media Matters on Anfield Index, with Liverpool's midfield recruitment plans and Alexis Mac Allister's future dominating the discussion.

With Chelsea reportedly growing increasingly confident of signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott, Lewis assesses Liverpool's interest in the player and explains why a £100million January move would be unusual for the Reds.

Attention also turns to Lamine Camara, with Liverpool having already explored the possibility of a deal for the Monaco midfielder. Could Julian Ward bring a potential summer target forward to January, or will Liverpool wait until the end of the season?

The biggest discussion surrounds Alexis Mac Allister, whose impressive recent performances have reignited questions about his long-term future at Anfield.

Lewis explains why Liverpool are unlikely to rush into offering the Argentine a new contract, but also suggests the midfielder could still earn an extension if he maintains his current form.

With Real Madrid reportedly monitoring Mac Allister's situation, could Liverpool eventually face a difficult decision between extending his contract, selling him or accelerating their midfield rebuild?

Dave and Lewis also discuss Manu Koné, Felix Nmecha and the wider midfield shortlist as Liverpool consider their next recruitment moves.

Will Mac Allister earn a new deal? Could Real Madrid make their move? And is Lamine Camara Liverpool's most realistic midfield signing?

All this and more on Media Matters with Dave Davis and Lewis Steele.
