Palmer & Rice OUT! Liverpool Transfer Links + Xhaka Controversy

There's fresh transfer talk as Liverpool are linked with Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read, while the Yankuba Minteh story refuses to disappear following the Reds' summer pursuit of the Brighton winger. Could either player emerge as a genuine Liverpool target when the transfer market reopens?

Elsewhere, England's international plans have taken a significant hit. Cole Palmer and Declan Rice have both withdrawn through injury, joining Tino Livramento, Kobbie Mainoo and Marcus Rashford on the sidelines. Xhaka has apologised and is cooperating with authorities; Switzerland have left him out of the upcoming international camp, while prosecutors in Lucerne are examining whether criminal proceedings should follow
