David Jiricek hasn’t played for the Philadelphia Flyers since October 19 vs. the Colorado Avalanche. He’s been a healthy scratch for 6 straight games (as of this recording) and Simon Benoit has taken over the 6th d-man role.
Charlie & Bill answer a mailbag question about the potential risk/reward of waiving David Jiricek to get him playing time in the AHL, with the added benefit of recalling Hunter McDonald, who could take Benoit’s place on the 3rd pair.
