Is It Time for the Atlanta Braves to Trade Ronald Acuña Jr.?

Atlanta Braves face a franchise-defining decision: Is it time to trade Ronald Acuña Jr.? Jake Mastroianni breaks down Acuña’s 2026 season, spotlighting his flashes of MVP-caliber brilliance, recurring knee injuries, and postseason struggles. With two years left on a team-friendly deal, Acuña’s value remains high—but can the Braves trust him to stay healthy and deliver when it matters most?

Key topics include Acuña’s impact on Atlanta’s offense, the pros and cons of keeping, trading, or extending their superstar, and what kind of return Alex Anthopoulos should seek if a deal materializes. Jake also examines Acuña’s defensive value, potential transition to designated hitter, and the ripple effect on the Braves’ championship window. Will the front office take the risk—or cash in now for the team’s future?
