KEEP Tracy: Why Boston Red Sox Should MAKE Chad Tracy PERMANENT Manager

Boston Red Sox find fresh energy as Chad Tracy steps in as interim manager. Will his familiarity with top prospects like Marcelo Mayer and Roman Anthony give Boston the edge they need? Gabby (Hurlbut) Maljanian argues that Tracy deserves the full-time managerial role, highlighting his proven ability to develop young talent and his strong, player-first approach in the clubhouse. The conversation spotlights Tracy’s shift in handling Mayer, now positioning him as the everyday second baseman and giving him critical at-bats against left-handed pitchers—something Alex Cora was reluctant to do.

Key discussion points include potential external candidates like David Ross and Bob Melvin, a new-look Red Sox lineup with Jarren Duran, Willson Contreras, Roman Anthony, and Wilyer Abreu locking down the top four spots, and the team's increasing focus on contact hitting and smart base running. Can Tracy’s leadership spark a turnaround and cement his future in Boston? The Red Sox’s next moves could shape the franchise for years to come.
