Apparently, had the crossed the finish line, it would have been a “fall-off-your-chair” blockbuster. Some insiders believe the deal involved the Toronto Maple Leafs and Matthew Knies — but it ultimately didn’t cross the finish line. Hughes also suggested the team could revisit the trade this summer. Was it really Knies, or someone else?
