Week 1 is officially in the books, and the AFC West has given us plenty to talk about!
The Kansas City Chiefs made the biggest statement of the division, dominating the Denver Broncos 31-10 on Monday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes returned from injury and accounted for three touchdowns, while new Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III exploded for 173 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders FINALLY opened their season with a victory, defeating the Miami Dolphins 27-13. Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes, while rookie Ashton Jeanty contributed 102 rushing yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Then there's Los Angeles.
The Chargers suffered one of the biggest surprises of Week 1, falling 26-14 at home to the Arizona Cardinals. Justin Herbert threw for 209 yards and a touchdown but also had an interception as Arizona controlled the game for much of the afternoon.
So what does it all mean for the AFC West?
Are the Chiefs officially back? Can the Raiders build on their impressive opening win? What went wrong for Justin Herbert and the Chargers? And what does Denver need to fix after getting dominated by Kansas City?
