Yankees Fans Want Blood, Evan Defends Cashman

Aaron Boone’s Game 3 lineup decision is still infuriating Evan Roberts, who calls leading off Trent Grisham a fireable offense and wonders whether Hal Steinbrenner could ultimately overrule Brian Cashman on Boone’s future. Shaun Morash is just as frustrated, arguing Yankees fans deserve answers instead of another delayed press conference filled with familiar explanations.

The bigger battle centers on Cashman. Morash says nearly three decades under the same general manager is enough and wants a fresh set of eyes before another young Yankees core falls short. Evan pushes back hard, crediting Cashman for rebuilding the roster with promising young talent and arguing that firing him now would be the wrong move.
