CAVS SQUAD SHOW: Could Sam Merrill’s HOT Shooting SECURE Sixth Man Honors for Cleveland Cavaliers?

The Cleveland Cavaliers face a burning question: Can Sam Merrill realistically contend for the NBA Sixth Man of the Year award, or will scoring types like Jaylon Tyson steal the spotlight? Tim Daniel, Danny Cunningham, Spencer German, and Chasity Melvin break down the Cavs’ bench depth, the traits voters reward, and how Coach Kenny Atkinson’s rotation decisions could shape individual award chances and the team’s offensive firepower.

Debate turns to Jarrett Allen’s undervalued impact, the evolution of Evan Mobley—who’s reportedly playing with a chip on his shoulder—and the high expectations for James Harden’s playmaking in Cleveland. Plus, the crew examines rookie Malik Thomas’s buzz, trades the Cavs might be forced to consider under cap constraints, and bold over/under predictions for All-Star nods and 40-point explosions. Are the new-look Cavs ready for a top seed—and the accolades that come with it?
