THE SYDNEY ROOSTERS ARE THE 2026 NRL PREMIERS!
What a Grand Final.
The Sydney Roosters have defeated the Newcastle Knights 19-18 in one of the most dramatic NRL Grand Finals in recent memory to claim their 16th premiership.
The Knights came out firing and raced to a 12-0 lead before the Roosters fought their way back into the contest. Mark Nawaqanitawase scored twice, James Tedesco produced a Clive Churchill Medal-winning performance and Daly Cherry-Evans stepped up with a crucial field goal to put the Roosters in front.
The Knights weren't finished, with Greg Marzhew scoring late to make it a one-point game, but the Roosters held on to become NRL premiers.
In this episode of The Chad Townsend Show, we break down the entire Grand Final and the biggest stories from an incredible 2026 NRL season.
We discuss:
The Roosters are premiers.
The Knights' fairytale came up one point short.
And the 2026 NRL season is officially over.
