Stanton’s October Production Silences Regular-Season Criticism

Giancarlo Stanton’s Yankees legacy takes center stage as Evan Roberts pushes back on the criticism surrounding all the regular-season games he has missed. Evan points to Stanton’s postseason availability and production, arguing that if October is what ultimately matters for the Yankees, his playoff résumé has to carry enormous weight.

The debate turns to how the Yankees should actually use Stanton after more than five months without a game. Rather than disrupt the lineup, the expectation is that Stanton becomes a dangerous late-game bat off the bench. Evan even lays out the dream scenario: Stanton spending the night preparing in the cage before Aaron Boone calls on him for one unforgettable Kirk Gibson-style moment.
