EXPOSED: Washington Capitals' 5-on-5 Struggles RAISE Big Questions After Alex Tuch, Jordan Kyrou HEROICS

Washington Capitals edge Montreal Canadiens 5-4, but nagging 5-on-5 issues persist. Can Alex Tuch and Jordan Kyrou’s offensive bursts spark a sustainable winning formula?

Dan Holmi breaks down the Capitals’ much-needed victory, spotlighting Tuch’s two-goal night, Kyrou’s first multi-point game as a Capital, and Justin Holl’s clutch blue-line finish. The conversation tackles Washington’s defensive lapses, reliance on special teams, and the urgency for stars like Ovechkin and Wilson to step up. With injuries forcing new line combinations and Charlie Lindgren withstanding Montreal’s attack, the Capitals’ path forward hinges on turning individual heroics into well-rounded team play. Will Washington fix their defensive structure before these wild, high-scoring finishes become the new norm?
