On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Florida Panthers Historian Francisco Oporta(@FLACatsHistory) to the show to discuss the Panthers and the NHL Revealing the 2026 NHL Winter Classic jerseys. The jersey is a dedication to the Panthers original logo from when they first entered the league in 1993, while also dedicating to hockey history in South Florida. The Tropical Hockey League has provided a major influence in the design of the sweater from the shoulder logo, to the pants. Is there a connection to their former roommates in the Miami Heat from the Miami Arena in the design, as well as what they possibly could've been named had they not been called the Florida Panthers? There is an injury update to Eetu Luostarinen as Paul Maurice revealed that Luostarinen is week-to-week as he suffered an injury involving an accident related to a bar-b-q off the ice. What does this mean now for the team as now it's another name added to the long list of injuries? Panthers welcome the New Jersey Devils to town as they also dealt with Jack Hughes having an off-ice injury of his own. It's another tough challenge for the Panthers on their really long home stand.
