An early kickoff, and Detroit is the home team

Kickoff is three and a half hours before the 1 p.m. ET games, and it is the only game on the NFL's schedule at 9:30 a.m. ET. The NFL lists it as Patriots at Lions, and Detroit says it is the designated home team, its first time in that role for an international game.

It is the third regular-season NFL game in Munich and the sixth in Germany. The NFL calls the stadium FC Bayern Munich Arena in its own materials; the Lions and FOX call it Allianz Arena. Cage The Elephant headline the halftime show.
