Alcaraz Rolls in Tokyo, Djokovic’s Beijing Streak, and Sinner’s Mysterious Knee | EP 220

On this episode of Nothing Major, Sam, John, and Stevie open with Sam’s ongoing weigh-in saga as he tries to lose weight ahead of a ranch day featuring horseback riding, fly fishing, and skeet shooting. They also break down the ATP 500s in Tokyo and Beijing, including Carlos Alcaraz’s run to the Tokyo final, his matchup with Jiří Lehečka, and surprising early losses for Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

Plus, they explain how Arthur Fils ended up in qualifying despite being a top-10 player, creating a brutal draw for Frances Tiafoe.

In Beijing, they discuss Novak Djokovic’s unbeaten record at the tournament and push for Turin, a controversial replay point involving Alexander Zverev and Alex de Minaur’s run to the final. They also get into Jannik Sinner pulling out of Beijing and Shanghai, the limited injury clarity, and what it could mean for the year-end No. 1 race.
