After beginning the 2026-27 season with back-to-back losses, the Dallas Stars hammered the San Jose Sharks 5-0 on Monday night at American Airlines Center to get off the schneid with their first victory of the new campaign. Now the Stars are on the road for a two-game trip against the Buffalo Sabres (tonight) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (Saturday). Dallas is looking for its first road win of the season, after coming up empty against the Predators in a 2-1 loss last Saturday night at Nashville. The Sabres lost their season opener to the Blue Jackets 6-3 in Columbus, but then came home and earned one-goal victories over the Chicago Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild (overtime). Buffalo is right in the middle of an early season five-game home stand and will square off against the Utah Mammoth and the Florida Panthers after hosting Dallas tonight. On tonight’s DLLS Stars Pregame Show, we will discuss all the big storylines, we will take a look at the expected lineups and get you ready for puck drop at the AAC. Expected starting goaltenders: Jake Oettinger (DAL) vs. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen (BUF).
