The End of an Era? Katie Ledecky Suffers First 800m Free Loss in 14 Years! 🏊‍♀️

Is Katie Ledecky "washed"?! 😂 Of course not, but the Women's Sports Now panel is still reeling from the historic news out of the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, California.

For the first time since she was a 15-year-old at the 2012 Olympics, Katie Ledecky lost an international 800m freestyle race, falling to Australian phenom Lani Pallister (who won with an incredible time of 8:06.10). Sarah Tiana and Renee Montgomery joke that Ledecky's career might be over, but emphasizes that the fact this is even breaking news just proves how unbelievably dominant the 29-year-old American has been for over a decade! Your weekly home for WNBA news, NCAA women's basketball, NWSL, and everything happening in women's sports right now.

Women's Sports Now is the show for real conversations about the week's biggest moments in women's sports — from the WNBA Draft to March Madness, the NWSL season, Wimbledon, and beyond.
