A Harsh Derby Defeat & Hard won Draws with Roope Paunio

Mark & Jules are joined by SJK goalkeeper, Roope Paunio for this episode, as they look back at a harsh derby defeat & a couple of hard-won draws during the past couple of weeks. Firstly, they talk through Roope’s short career (so far) and how brotherly ‘pressure’ encouraged him to become a ‘keeper. They consider the responsibility of being part of SJK’s leadership team and, sometimes, the onfield captain, plus the influence of his goalkeeping coaches.

Mark shares some experiences of media activity he’s been doing to promote SJK and Finnish football in general, before they look back at the recent results for SJK in the Veikkausliiga, that harsh home defeat to VPS Vaasa (1-2) and those hard-won away draws at Inter Turku (1-1) and Ilves (2-2). They also preview the upcoming Veikkausliiga games:
