Saints are heading into the play-offs with momentum.

Southampton ended the regular Championship season with a 3-1 win away at Preston North End, securing 4th place and setting up a play-off semi-final against Middlesbrough.

On this week’s Total Saints Podcast, Martin Starke is joined by Steve Grant, Glen de la Cour, Alfie House and Producer Alex Graham to reflect on a huge weekend on and off the pitch.

We start with Benali on Tour, after Martin, Alfie and Alex took on the brutal 10 Lake District Peaks challenge in aid of Saints Foundation. Thanks to the incredible support of the TSP community, over £3,000 has been raised so far, with the wider group heading towards £50,000.

Then attention turns to Deepdale, where goals from Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Ross Stewart and Cyle Larin helped Saints finish the job against Preston. We discuss the performance, Daniel Peretz’s mistake, Tom Fellows’ bright display, Shea Charles’ role at right-back, Cameron Archer at number 10, and another impressive showing from Caspar Jander.

Finally, we look ahead to the play-off semi-final first leg at Middlesbrough. Saints were beaten 4-0 at the Riverside back in January, but this is a very different Southampton side now. Who starts? Does Flynn Downes come straight back in? Should it be Matsuki or Fellows? Larin or Stewart? And how cautious should Saints be away from home?
