Fabian Cancellara won the prologue of the Tour de France 2012 but with a hard mountain top finish in stage 7, up the Planche des Belles Filles, Team Sky lit an absolute fire in the last 6km, burning their super domestiques Porte and Rogers to then set up Froome / Wiggins destruction. This put Wiggins into the yellow jersey which he would never relinquish and signalled the start of Team Sky's dominance of the Tour de France for the next 8 years.
