Alex Eala: After Wimbledon loss to Paolini & 'great' grass season, what next for Filipina sensation?

Reaching the second week of Wimbledon—and beating elite opposition along the way—shows she can compete with the world's best on every surface. Even though her run ended against Jasmine Paolini, it significantly boosts her belief and reputation.

Her likely schedule now shifts to WTA tournaments in North America, leading into the US Open. These events offer valuable ranking points and opportunities to earn seeded status at future majors.

Against Paolini, Eala's left-handed groundstrokes and movement were outstanding, but her serve remains the area most analysts identify for improvement. Adding pace and consistency would make it easier to hold serve against top-20 opponents.
