Napoli vs Lazio Preview: Team News, Lineups & Prediction 🚨

🚨 NAPOLI VS LAZIO: SERIE A MATCHDAY 11 PREVIEW
Napoli host Lazio at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Sunday 8 November 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 CET.

Nima Tavallaey and Sheridan Bird preview the match with predicted lineups, team news, injuries, tactical analysis and match predictions—and ask whether another defeat would lead to Massimiliano Allegri being sacked.

🔷 IS THIS ALLEGRI’S LAST CHANCE?
Napoli enter this match following a damaging 4–1 Champions League defeat away against Porto.

Can Allegri inspire an immediate response against Gennaro Gattuso’s league-leading Lazio—or could another poor performance bring his time at Napoli to an end?

🏥 NAPOLI VS LAZIO TEAM NEWS AND INJURIES
Napoli’s extensive injury list includes Alessandro Buongiorno, Stanislav Lobotka, Benoît Badiashile, Leonardo Spinazzola, Alisson Santos and Michael Favasuli.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Mathías Olivera, Kevin De Bruyne and Vanja Milinković-Savić require assessment, while Rasmus Højlund is expected to recover from illness. Luca Marianucci is suspended.

Lazio are without the injured Albert Guðmundsson, while Nicolò Rovella and Adam Marušić are attempting to recover in time. Lazio have no suspended players.

⚫⚪ ARE JUVENTUS’ CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TARGETS UNREALISTIC?
The discussion then turns to Juventus and whether their current squad is genuinely capable of securing Champions League qualification.

Why does no Serie A club appear willing to appoint Thiago Motta—and could any modern defender have survived during Franco Baresi’s era?

📊 WHAT IF THE SERIE A SEASON ENDED TODAY?
Nima and Sheridan examine the consequences at both ends of the table if the current Serie A standings became final.

They also ask which country would have produced the most Ballon d’Or winners if every player could win it only once.
