Nick Richards to Miami Heat JUST Got More Interesting… HUGE Roster Update!

The Miami Heat just received another update on Nick Richards, with Brian Windhorst providing the latest information surrounding Miami’s plans for the big man.

While this update may not completely change what we already know, it gives us another reason to look at where Nick Richards could fit on Miami’s roster — and, more importantly, what the Heat can do AFTER adding him.

A lot of Heat fans believe the 14th roster spot is essentially Nick Richards’ spot to lose. But Miami’s roster situation has become even more interesting because the Heat now have enough financial flexibility to potentially fill BOTH the 14th AND 15th roster spots while remaining under the first-apron hard cap.

That means Miami does NOT necessarily have to stop at 14 players.

The Heat could potentially add Nick Richards as the 14th player and still have the flexibility to bring in another player for the 15th and final roster spot.

That gives Miami much more flexibility heading into the season.
