Atlantic 10 Preview: Best Bets 2026-27

Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) and Troy Chewning (@Troychewning) wrap up all 32 conference previews with the Atlantic 10 basketball preview for 2026-27. Both have VCU and St. Louis on top, and the tournament pick splits with Troy Chewning on the Rams and Ryan McIntyre on Dayton.

This is preview 32 of 32, and the guys saved one of their favorite leagues for last. VCU won the conference tournament last year. The A-10 got two bids, and both teams won an NCAA tournament game: St. Louis beat Georgia, and the Rams pulled off a big comeback. Dayton was one win over VCU in the final away from making it three bids.

Richmond is the stock up pick. Troy Chewning is backing Chris Mooney after a five-win conference season, and Ryan McIntyre also likes GW and Caputo with a roster full of high major transfers. St. Joe's is the fade. They went 13-5 in league play last year, Donahue had the interim tag taken off, and both hosts have the Hawks sliding.

VCU and St. Louis are a clear top tier with Robbie Avila back for the Billikens. Anthony Grant's Dayton is third on both boards. George Mason and GW are basically tied at four and five, the hosts only flip the order. Robbie Avila is the player of the year pick. Troy Chewning takes VCU to win the A-10 tournament. Ryan McIntyre has Dayton getting revenge on the Rams in the title game and is pitching a three-bid A-10 all season.
