The Miami HEAT are continuing to fill out their training camp roster! 🔥🏀
Miami has officially added Ezra Ausar and Ian Schieffelin on Exhibit 10 contracts, giving both young forwards an opportunity to compete during training camp and potentially continue their development within the Heat organization.
In this episode of Miami Heat Talk, I break down both signings, what each player brings to the table, their Summer League performances, and what these moves could mean for Miami’s training-camp roster.
Ezra Ausar is a 6-foot-9 forward who finished his college career at USC after previously playing at Utah. During the 2025-26 season at USC, Ausar averaged 14.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, starting all 32 games. He also showed his physicality and rebounding ability during Miami’s Summer League run.
Ian Schieffelin brings an extremely unique background to Miami. After playing four seasons of basketball at Clemson, Schieffelin spent part of his final college year playing football as a tight end before returning to basketball and joining the Heat’s Summer League team. He averaged 8.4 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 46.7% from the field and 42.9% from three in five Summer League games.
These are Exhibit 10 contracts, so this doesn’t mean either player is guaranteed a spot on Miami’s regular-season roster. Exhibit 10 deals are primarily designed as training-camp opportunities and can also help establish a pathway to the G League. Players can potentially compete for further opportunities within the organization.
With Miami’s training camp approaching, the Heat are getting closer to having their full group together. Could Ausar or Schieffelin surprise during camp and earn a bigger opportunity?
