Barely less than a year before Milano Cortina 2026, Italy's Federica Brignone was left with serious injuries after a crash at the Italian Championships ended her 2025-2026 season prematurely. Returning to racing just a month before the start of the Winter Olympics on home soil, Brignone proved the critics wrong and took home gold in the Women's Super-G with a time of 1:23.41 and finishing ahead of France's Romane Miradoli and Austria's Cornelia Hütter.
