Restoring A Rare 90’s MTB You Can't Get Parts For
The Slingshot is a vintage 1997 mountain bike with no downtube, held together by a steel cable and a discontinued composite dogbone link. The link was fatigued and stuck solid in the frame, so I extracted it, reverse-engineered a replacement, got it machined, serviced the 30-year-old fork, and rebuilt the whole bike to actually ride it!
Link to the bike will be coming soon! My website is almost ready to launch.
