While it may seem cute, moments like this are very dangerous for our children if we do not approach them correctly.
We use the “no kissy” rule to help babies stay focused, calm, and independent in the water.
The goal is not to reject affection, it’s to teach children that during swim time, they must rely on their skills, not comfort behaviors.
Because in a real situation, your child won’t be able to rely on hugs, only on what they’ve learned.
