The #16 Tar Heels were able to shut down the Golden Bears in the second half to get a 71-55 victory. After trailing at halftime, North Carolina came out and played the second half like a team on a mission. The Tar Heels outscored Cal 39-18 in the second half. Indya Nivar led the way for UNC with 16 points, six assists, four steals, and three rebounds. Nyla Harris had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds to go with five steals and four steals. Ciera Toomey was just short of a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Cal's Sakima Walker scored a game-high 19 points on 9-13 shooting with eight rebounds.
