Akshay Bhatia saw his ball oscillate from heavy winds on the Monterey Peninsula during the third round at Pebble Beach last week. Bhatia could used just a smidgen of that on the 10th hole at Riviera where his birdie putt fell just short of sinking in. If he had made the putt, Bhatia would have grabbed sole possession of first place.
