Clemson fans caught a possible glimpse of the future when freshman quarterback Chris Denson took over late against Furman. On his first drive, he showcased his speed with a 50-yard burst before finishing the series with a touchdown pass to Logan Brooking. On his next possession, he struck again, this time scoring on the ground. Denson wrapped up the night a perfect 4 for 4 through the air with a touchdown and added 106 rushing yards and another score, delivering an impressive performance.
