Cal Randall is the Cardinals' new flamethrower 🔥
Randall has a 96-97 mph fastball that touches 100-101 with every conceivable fastball trait you could ask for beyond that. It’s a high-spin offering that he throws with excellent extension from a below-average release point. Those traits give him an extremely flat approach, which makes his above-average riding life look even more unhittable for opposing batters. Add it all up and you get a fastball that generated a 36% miss rate despite 90% usage.
