Miami S Bryce Fitzgerald | 2026 ACC Returning Players To Watch

While teammate Malachi Toney got most of the spotlight, Miami safety Bryce Fitzgerald was quietly among the other best freshmen players in the nation during the 2025 season. He was tied amongst the Power 4 leaders with six interceptions. Two of those interceptions came in Miami's win over Texas A&M in the first round of the College Football Playoffs. He ranked fifth among ACC safeties with a PFF defensive grade of 80.7. Now Fitzgerald is back for his sophomore season with the Hurricanes and is projected to be a full-time starter.
