At 19, Jackson Chourio went 20 homers and 43 steals at Double-A. Baseball America found only three other teenagers had done that in 60 seasons. The last one was Ronald Acuña Jr.
That December, the Brewers gave him an eight-year, $82 million contract. He had zero big league at-bats. No player without major league experience had ever gotten more.
