The Cal Golden Bears escaped a tough Virginia Cavaliers team at home with a 64-58 victory. Sakima Walker got the team off to an amazing start, scoring 16 of her 20 points in a first half that saw her shoot a perfect 6-6 from the floor. Walker finished 7-10 from the floor to go along with 10 rebounds in the win. Lulu Twidale added 17 points, and Gisella Maul scored 12 points for Charmin Smith's squad. Three players scored in double figures for UVA in the loss
